The Systems Integration Engineer will be a part of the Systems Failure Analysis Engineering organization. The successful candidate will excel at problem solving and critical thinking at the system level to enable the investigation, planning, and implementation of test systems and methods, and provide practical implementation methods, as well as provide overall system guidance that enable Western Digital to produce the best enterprise SSDs in the storage market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* As part of system failure analysis function, the ideal candidate will be responsible for completing root cause analysis on a wide range of eSSD devices for internal customers.
* Root-cause analysis can range from host, DDR, NAND interfaces, to component, to PCBA, and to manufacturing failures.
* As part of system integration function, the ideal candidate will be responsible for value demand activities to enable successful and timely integration of eSSD product.
* The candidate must be able to clearly communicate results, and be able to effectively communicate to cross functional team consisting of Design, Packaging, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Product, and Test engineering.
* Additional duties might include mentoring junior engineers and running ad-hoc problem solving tiger team.
