Work Hours/Shift:

FT Days, 7a to 7p, 36 hours per week

You Will Be Responsible For:

Prepares and compiles records in the department.
Answers the telephone and intercom in a timely and polite manner.
Keep informed of patient whereabouts
Organizes and manages activities to show consideration of the unit as a whole.
Reflects knowledge and judgment in decisions and actions within the job description of the unit secretary.
Assist licensed personnel in obtaining medication history information
Monitors for STAT orders and immediately notifies appropriate department and nurse.
Maintains logbooks in the department.
Orders supplies and stocks as required.
Assists in recording information for performance improvement activities.
Assists other staff members as needed with transferring and transporting of patients.
Demonstrates knowledge of computer system
Please work orders as needed for unit

Qualifications
What You Will Need:

High School graduate required

Unit Secretary/Clerk or other healthcare experience preferred

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of clerical and communication duties in the preparation, compilation, and maintenance of automated and hardcopy patient requisitions, records and reports on a nursing unit.
