Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Research, analyze and develop policies, procedures and corporate compliance programs related to processing international shipments so they meet company, government and customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
1. Analyze, research and define user requirement specifications for international regulatory computer system projects
2. Communicate user requirements to technical groups for development and implementation
3. Analyze problems, policies, procedures and performance standards in the international fines/penalties research and remittance process and determine required corrective actions in an effort to limit corporate exposure and penalty expense to the corporation
4. Research, evaluates and makes recommendations to improve the efficiency of processing international shipments
5. Advise FedEx Freight internal locations on the development of regulatory policies, procedures, performance standards and process flow definitions
6. Develop and implement control features and compliance audits to ensure international regulatory procedures and plans are correct and executed.
7. Monitor, control and review compliance of internal training policies, procedures, performance standards and process flow definitions for manual and automated international systems
8. Participate on various committees and task forces to ensure consideration of international customer needs and determine impact of proposed changes
9. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
10. Perform other assignments (or duties) as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in business or related field or four (4) years directly related work experience
Five (5) years experience in procedures development, business planning, audit and internal control systems design
Thorough knowledge of FedEx international or offshore operations
Strong analytical, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, and E-mail
Good verbal and written communication skills
