Supplier Performance Manager

Job Description

The Supplier Performance Specialist partners with key stakeholders throughout the supplier lifecycle to champion the oversight activities, accounting for relationship, performance, and risk components. This Manager-Level Role will develop both short and long-term roadmaps for critical and strategic supplier relationships, focusing on the implementation of Vanguard strategic objectives, new services, and product initiatives. You will address and resolve outsourced partner issues and escalate significant performance issues and trends to key internal stakeholders, maintain up-to-date knowledge on essential players and overall market dynamics for assigned suppliers, reacting rapidly to new developments and supply market data analysis and recommend suppliers and vendors and strategies to the business. You'll onboard these suppliers into the oversight model post supplier selection and contract execution/signage and support the business in escalating issues with strategic supplier performance, providing different levels of input based on supplier segment. You'll Initiate updates to service level agreements (SLAs) as required, overseeing relationships to measure and manage supplier performance via scorecard process and conduct business reviews accordingly.

Core Responsibilities:

* Serve as a subject matter expert in managing high complexity strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selection for products and services. Manage relationships for suppliers within category. Execute category strategy to drive maximum value.

* Perform supply market data analysis and recommends suppliers and vendors to the business. Identify and is knowledgeable of industry trends and category strategies to recommend linkages to business needs. Coach team members on supply and market analysis.

* Drive engagements, resolve escalated and complex issues and involve stakeholders as needed. Interfaces with other sourcing operations teams, business leaders and legal & risk partners for each transaction.

* Interpret and communicate contract requirements, obligations, and risk exposures to key stakeholders, including sourcing professionals and business leaders. Perform regular performance monitoring and reviews of key suppliers.

* Champion sourcing process compliance. Educate key stakeholders about commercial, legal, policy and other considerations in support of the negation process.

* Ensure supplier and contract data is submitted or entered into the management systems and databases.

* Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Five years related work experience.

* Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
