Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead and/or perform SEC and other external financial reporting, including preparation of Form 10-K and 10-Q, FERC Form 1 and 3Q, and other financial reports filed with the SEC and other regulatory authorities. Prepare financial statements for and perform financial analysis of utility and non-utility companies. Perform research on accounting and SEC reporting issues. Work with external auditors on audit and other reporting issues. Participate in due diligence for bond offerings. Leverage technical system knowledge on process improvement initiatives, as well as participate on various financial systems projects and other External Reporting initiatives. Support transaction initiatives such as the preparation of carve-out financials.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position  
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.  
Desired: CPA strongly preferred  
Minimum experience required of the position
Accountant Lead: 5+ years of accounting work related experience
Accountant Sr Lead: 8+ years of accounting work related experience
Desired:  
SEC reporting experience strongly preferred
Utility/regulatory knowledge preferred
Project Management experience  
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position  
Experience with preparation of financial statements and disclosures preferred  
Utility accounting experience preferred  
Strong analytical skills  
Excellent project management skills required, including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
