The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in Californias Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management, and hubbing, as well as repair services.

Job Purpose:

In this key role, the Director of Estimation will actively support the Mechanical System Divisions global quotation program. The Director of Estimation will set-up and lead the quotations process. The person in this role will provide global business development efforts for existing, emerging accounts and new business opportunities for the Mechanical Systems Division. The Director of Estimation will also be accountable for the following.

Nature of Duties/ Responsibilities:

* Be the focal point for all field-sales contacts to ensure: quotations are prepared in the proper format to ensure the most effective sales customer presentation; quotations are properly managed throughout the processes and are able to improve the processes to have quality quotes and on-time delivery to customers expectations.
* Represent Sanmina as a subject matter expert for mechanical related issues as part of an integrated team addressing new and expansion sales opportunities.
* Work closely with the Global Supply Management team and Plant Materials Management teams effectively to establish the quotes, which competitive and deliverable.
* Attend customer on-site meetings, understand/interpret the customer supply chain requirements, and provide realistic solutions.
* Upon contract award, this person will work directly with the implementation team to advise them what the supply chain strategies are and manufacturing processes are applied at plants.

Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business required.
* Minimum 10 years of related experience.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing plant
* Experience in a customer contact role
* Ability to work with others in a demanding environment and travel
* Works as a team player bringing both the customer input as well as representing Sanmina manufacturing plants
* Qualify candidate must be a permanent resident or US citizen
