Job Details
The Wound ostomy Continence RN provides direction and coordination for a specific patient population with disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and integumentary systems. Primary area of expertise is in the wound, ostomy, and continence management. Serves Also as a consultant to the health care team.
The Comprehensive Wound Center is one of the largest wound centers in the country. Treating over 1000 patients a year We are a Center of Excellence for NIH Diabetic Foot Ulcer Research and have the highest number of Certified Wound Specialists in Indiana.
Qualifications/knowledge/skills/abilities
* Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
* Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
* Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
* Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
* Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
