Position Summary
Work closely in collaboration with manager of design, learning & performance strategists, subject matter experts (SMEs) and development teams to create effective learning solutions designed to meet business needs and produce measurable results. Design and develop learning solutions that adhere to adult learning principles and quality standards, are driven by learning objectives tied to measurable business results and incorporate interactive materials for a variety of delivery systems. Innovate new and responsive learning solutions to address emerging technologies, rapidly developing situations, and shifting learning populations for all facets of the company, including retail supermarkets, leadership development, supply chain & manufacturing. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Essential Job Functions

* Design and develop interactive and engaging learning solutions that drive measurable business results
* Ensure solutions are instructionally sound and adhere to quality standards
* Pivot between projects by managing deliverable timelines and project plans
* Perform analysis to determine project scope, learning objectives and best training methodology to meet business needs
* Research effective training solutions and stay up to date on instructional design methodologies
* Lead and execute against the established design team project processes for each project
* Provide regular communication to project teams, business owners and stakeholders (e.g., risk, barriers, deliverables, and changes/updates)
* Interpret and translate business owner needs into actionable development objectives
* Onboard new to role instructional designers
* Mentor, coach, and positively influence team members to accelerate professional development
* Partner closely with the Training & Design manager on identification of evaluation methods and tools to measure results
* Assist in administrating learning management system (LMS) assets and functions
* Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications

* 5+ years of instructional design experience
* Any project management experience
* Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies
* Strong understanding of analysis methodologies
* Strong information gathering and rapport-building skills
* Excellent communication skills

Desired Previous Experience/Education

* Bachelor's Degree in instructional design or education
* Any experience using training, education, and communication methods
* Any experience using Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Cloud
* Any leadership experience
