Job Description
The United States Industrial Gas (USIG) division of Linde is currently seeking Plant Operator in River Rouge, MI. Under the routine direction of the manager, is responsible for a variety of process operations and duties in a production environment. Operate and control production of liquid and gaseous products in accordance with production requirements and specifications. Diagnose and remedy plant, computer, and/or mechanical failures or problems. Ensure quality assurance specifications of products are met. Conduct routine inspections, calibrations, and testing. Measure and records various data associated with the operating process. Must know when to call in another specialist to assist. Location is an air separation facility with liquefaction equipment, merchant distribution, and one SMR. Working extended hours, weekends, and holidays. Position works a rotating shift.
Qualifications
Associates Degree Required – Technical, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or Chemical discipline preferred
Prior Military experience with ASU or Cryogenic Plant Operation preferred
Operations experience in related field preferred – refining, air separation, chemical, distillation, process control.
