Responsibilities:
The D23 Marketing Intern works closely with all members of the D23 team to drive acquisition and retention for The Official Disney Fan Club. Daily tasks will vary from supporting marketing and partnership initiatives, maintaining performance trackers and marketing calendars, and actively participating in meetings.
Responsibilities include:
* Management of Marketing calendar and meeting facilitation
* Coordinating the creation of marketing assets for various campaigns, working with Marketing, Editorial, Social, and Graphics teams
* Trafficking assets, managing spreadsheets, and tracking all aspects of D23 promotional campaigns
* Preparing Keynote campaign recap presentations that include performance metrics, key learnings and actionable recommendations and present to leadership team
* Writing and proofreading copy for D23.com posts, D23 emails, and other marketing initiatives
* Supporting the synergy lead on all cross-promotional opportunities with internal Disney partners
* Contributing ideas for content to be used with digital and social channels associated with D23
* Assisting with other marketing responsibilities as needed by members of D23 Marketing team
Basic Qualifications:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Keynote
* Fast-learner with a thirst for fully understanding the marketing function of D23
* Proven ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
* Must be able to work under pressure and within quick timelines
* Excellent verbal and communication skills
* Well-developed writing and grammatical skills
* High sense of responsibility and confidentiality
* Confidence and enthusiasm when sharing ideas internally
* Knowledge and genuine interest in the Walt Disney Company history including films, animation, television and theme parks.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with HTML and Content Management Systems (WordPress experience a big plus)
* Adobe Photoshop
Required Education
* At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 18 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
* Pursuing or graduated with an undergraduate degree in Marketing or Communications or a related field
Additional Information:
* Position is remote / virtual internship at the sole discretion of The Walt Disney Company
* The approximate dates of this internship are April/May 2021 through December 2021/January 2022
* Candidate must be available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
* Must possess unrestricted work authorization
