As a Financial Analyst you will provide key finance support to the our Architectural Coatings stores within the U.S. and Puerto Rico by working closely with both the Business Unit Finance leadership as well as the Commercial leadership team. You will prepare and analyze relevant financial information such as trend analysis, customer analytics, closing and forecasting responsibilities, and ad-hoc duties and participate in Business Strategy Reviews, Long-Range Financial Planning, and annual budget development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate results
* Responsible for financial reporting including analysis, interpretation and communication of monthly financial results; lead deviation analysis and explanation of key performance drivers; assist with monthly forecasting
* Assist in development of financials for the annual Long Range Plan (LRP) and Business Strategy Review (BSR)
* Lead special projects as needed, including Authorization of Capital Transaction (ACT), customer / deal profitability, and other ad-hoc needs
* Provide proactive analysis of market trends, customer and product/brand performance to support profitable growth and investment
* Manage the customer rebate process including working with Commercial leadership to review and understand contracts
* Enhance and implement business process in compliance with PPG policy
* Provide ad hoc analysis including but not limited to customer profitability, margin analysis, contract/deal analysis and cost reduction
* Support US Stores zone financial analysis, provide dynamic partnership with Commercial team to drive business success
* Drive process improvement / optimization efforts
* Work collaboratively with cross functional partners, including global business services, marketing, credit and supply chain
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting, or similar field is required
* Minimum of 4 years of experience within Accounting of Finance position required
* Experience within a manufacturing company strongly preferred
* High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint is required.
* Proficiency in SAP and PowerBI strongly preferred, experience with HFM/Essbase an asset.
