Compensation Minimum:$66,800

Compensation Maximum:$107,000

Summary:

Responsible for product development work streams for the newly formed Auto Center of Excellence (COE), from ideation through post-launch assessment and support. Identifies opportunities to better serve customer needs in the marketplace. Develops evidence-based business cases demonstrating the value of new product solutions to customers, sales agents, and the business overall. Designs, builds, and launches new product solutions in collaboration with business partners. Helps monitor and analyze performance of product solutions to assess need for iteration. Responsible for the development of policies, guidelines, procedures, and processes for new products in the COE. Responsible for communicating intent for new product development. Collaborates with pricing development teams on new product design and enhancements to current products. Provides research and interpretation of statutes, case law, and regulations necessary for the introduction of new products, product enhancements and underwriting guidelines.

Also responsible for product support and implementation work streams. Serves as a resource for key business partners on a wide variety of product support areas including: reference manuals, advertising, education and sales materials, product and rate plan procedures, internal and external communications.

Line Specific Summary

Auto: the auto product portfolio includes insurance and risk management solutions related to private passenger auto (i.e. cars, trucks, SUVs, etc.).

Specialty: The specialty product portfolio includes insurance and risk management solutions related to motorcycle, watercraft, recreational vehicle (RV), ATV/UTV, snowmobile, collector car, other non-auto vehicles, and personal umbrella.

Primary Accountabilities

* Develops, analyzes and monitors Auto/Specialty product information relative to market potential, competition, products, loss experience, and potential profitability of market segments.
* Monitors and analyzes the Personal Lines Auto/Specialty book of business at each operating company for line area of accountability against financial & growth plans, and corporate, divisional, and departmental initiatives.
* Collaborates with business partners to implement and maintain new products and enhancements to existing products.
* Collaborate with business partners to integrate the Auto COE product strategy with state-specific product strategies and the planning and operational efforts of the functional divisions.
* Reviews and interprets statutes and case law and researches industry language necessary for the introduction of policy forms needed for state expansion and new products and product enhancements.
* Develops new language for contracts, forms and endorsements and collaborates with all corporate stakeholders.
* Maintains business rules documentation and reviews requirements as needed for existing products.
* Assists in the development and support of the communications, training materials, education and launch efforts for assigned products.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements

* Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
* Demonstrated experience developing underwriting guidelines and procedures.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of Property and Casualty Insurance product design and underwriting concepts.
* Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of market research and marketplace trends in insurance coverage.

* We may hire at the Senior Analyst level based on skills and qualifications.
* This position is available for remote work.
