Description:
In this role you will perform a variety of maintenance and technical support activities to the LRDR Radar located at the USAF station in Clear, Alaska. The selected candidate will:

Analyze and evaluate radar products and related performance.

Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.

Install product engineering upgrades, and/or remove products ensuring coordinative engineering field change processes and requirements.

Conduct site-level Corrective and Preventive Maintenance to LRDR radar, support systems, and system interfaces.

Monitor and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures ensuring that tasks are performed within program and customer guidelines.

Maintain effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.

Additional duties and responsibilities include: Assisting in arranging for services of outside vendors; understanding the required supplies and repair parts needed to maintain radar system performance, including working with Logistics personnel to orders parts as needed. Supporting all trades in their related job duties. Responding to emergency maintenance requests as required. Performing a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of site equipment as needed, including peripheral and associated facility systems. Validation of technical maintenance work packages on site equipment to support technical manuals updates.

Basic Qualifications:
- Applicant must be capable of working within a small group of highly motivated and trained professionals who provide facilities, radar, mechanical, electrical, IT and electronics support 24/7. The team environment is critical for mission support.

- Advanced Radar, Sensor, or Optics Maintenance and/or Operator background

- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on military radar systems and subsystems

- Ability to relocate to Clear, AK.

- Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret DoD security clearance prior to starting this position. Obtaining a DoD security clearance requires US Citizenship
Desired Skills:
1. Knowledge of Basic Linux command line operations
2. Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC Systems and/or site level facility maintenance activities, electronic controls, electrical, IT and computer hardware a plus.
