The FRL New Devices Hardware Program Management team is responsible for guiding a highly cross-functional team to take new technology breakthroughs and deliver them to market at scale. The team is seeking an Engineering Program Specialist leader who has experience supporting large cross-functional teams to deliver consumer electronics and mobile products at scale. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting programs by establishing standardized process flows for key areas including, but not limited to, Bill of Materials management, build allocations, program budget tracking, purchase order requests, and prototype shipment management. Ideal team members thrive in a fast paced environment, are self-motivated, and can juggle tasks across multiple programs, remain flexible & productive in hectic environments.
Lead Engineering Program Specialist Responsibilities
* Establish standardized processes and best practices for the Engineering Program Specialist team
* Manage program allocations, materials schedules, deliverables, and logistics in collaboration with both Facebook & contract manufacturing teams
* Manage shipment notifications & device delivery with warehouse inventory team
* Support financial budgeting and tracking processes
* Create Purchase Requisitions and maintain Purchase Order invoice reconciliations
* Work on multiple projects concurrently
* Work closely with engineering and PLM teams to ensure BOM (bill of materials) parts are released in Agile
* Manage material readiness across multiple programs in collaboration with contract manufacturing teams
* Collect and organize build support travel requirements for development activities
Minimum Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience as a Project Specialist or Engineering Program Specialist in consumer electronics
* Experience in hardware development, working with contract manufacturers in Asia
* Experience managing complex spreadsheets, accounting tools, and coordinate across different teams, vendors and time zones
* Experience establishing and/or improving programs workflows, tools and efficiency with proven results
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience managing a team of Engineering Program Specialists
* Experience working in a JDM engagement model
