Job Summary/Responsibilities:
bull; Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.
bull; Oversees preparation of work instruction packages, illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts.
bull; Writes technical documents and works directly with the Manufacturing Engineer to update process and procedural documentation.
bull; Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and systems description documents.
bull; Works directly or knowledge in handling delicate space flight components and should have a good working knowledge of manufacturing processes applicable to the manufacture of spaceflight hardware or equivalent.
bull; Support multiple projects, multi-task, and have the ability to recognize and reduce/eliminate non value operations.
bull; Support lean principals for process improvements as applicable.
bull; Proactively identify issues, escalate to appropriate channels, and suggest solutions to engineering for review.
This position may require off hour shift work, weekend work, and extended daily hours to meet production demands.

We are currently seeking talented individuals for Associate Technical Editor and Writer positions at our Dulles, Virginia location. Typical responsibilities include; Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, work instructions and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
bull; Bachelor rsquo;s Degree + minimum 1 year related experience or +5 years related experience in lieu of the degree.
bull; Detailed experience in writing technical documents.
bull; Be able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and systems description documents.
bull; Knowledge of basic 3D Modeling, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
bull; An understanding of ESD, FOD, and 5S processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
bull; Experience using MES (MFG execution system) is a plus and will be required for daily activities.
bull; A working knowledge of TipQA, Windchill, Costpoint, and CREOView preferred.
