Facebook is looking for a Data Analyst for Payments Partnerships on the Strategy Planning, Operations and Analytics team. The SPO&A team is chartered with using data and big-picture thinking to objectively guide business decisions, maximize strategic impact and minimize risk. We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and process oriented individual who can partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to help deliver our partnership vision through impactful data analysis and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, be passionate about payments and have experience working with stakeholders in a consultative role. This position offers a candidate with prior payments, operations, programs or data analysis experience an exciting and high-profile opportunity to influence the trajectory of an exciting part of Facebook's overall business and take on a key analytical role within one of the fastest growing parts of our organization.
Strategic Planning and Operations Analyst, Payment Partnerships Responsibilities
* Enable the Payments Partnerships team to plan, execute, report on and monitor the success of efforts with key partners and the overall payments ecosystem
* Determine key performance indicators using internal and external data (e.g. revenue, product, market, industry) to derive insights that will drive business decisions, partner relationships and programs to engage the payments partnership business
* Lead analytical support and scenario modeling across key planning processes for Payments Partnerships including goaling, forecasting and resource planning
* Own special analytical initiative projects and coordination with key stakeholders to answer tough business questions and drive business performance
* Provide first rate reporting and analytics tools, along with data driven insights via SQL and data visualization tools
* Build partnerships cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and other data teams to paint a full picture of analysis with trade-offs and opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience working in an analytical capacity developing insights, defining metrics, and making recommendations
* Advanced SQL experience (Oracle, Vertica, Hive, etc.) or relational database experience (Oracle, MySQL)
* Experience using data access tools and building visualizations using large datasets and multiple data sources
* Experience in financial modeling, ROI analysis, forecasting, data analysis, and experience seeing beyond numbers to drive sound decision-making from complex datasets
* Proven stakeholder management experience including managing multiple cross-functional partners simultaneously
* Presentation and communications experience with extracting insights from technical data sets to varied audiences including communicating with senior management
* Proven project management experience with demonstrated experience establishing a project vision and shipping through execution and coordination with cross-functional partners
Preferred Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience with packages such as Python, R, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, etc.
* 2+ years of experience managing analysts
* Knowledge of the Facebook, Payments and relevant metrics
