Role: Graduate QA/Test Automation Engineer

About the Role:

The ITM NextGen program is responsible for software development of a cloud-based solution that enables consumers to see and do more on the ATM & ITM than they ever used to. The solution also empowers them to engage with a remote teller for assistance on demand. This remote teller video assistance comes packed with a range of capabilities which increases the banks ability to service the customers needs remotely. This product makes everyday banking simple for the consumer and reduces the banks cost to serve.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with an interest in test automation/quality assurance who can help both accelerate our delivery in an Agile environment and improve the quality of our applications by being embedded in the product delivery team and assisting with early test automation that can be run continuously.

The ideal candidate for the QA/Test Automation role would ultimately be responsible for designing and implementing test infrastructure, creating and enforcing engineering best practices, ensuring the testability and quality of code, and evaluating product quality. Initially, the primary responsibility will be to ensure that testing of new functionality is completed/automated as quickly as possible following implementation, and that the end-to-end automated regression test suite is run continuously.

Responsibilities

* Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
* Verification of functionality and ensuring acceptance criteria and definition of done are met
* Work as part of a team as well as working autonomously
* Prepare and produce releases of software components
* Contribute to improvements to the software development process
* Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for review

Preferable Experience

* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
* Experience using Java or C
* Experience using - CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript
* Experience using databases eg. SQL (MS SQL Server, Oracle) or NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB)
* Experience using cloud technologies (GCP, Azure, AWS)
* Experience in SCM technologies such as Git, SVN
