About This Role

The Sr. Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting IT Infrastructure at Textron Systems. The candidate must be able to balance daily operations, project work and provide critical outage support. The candidate should possess a natural enthusiasm for IT, diverse in-depth technical experience, business acumen, and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing advanced IT infrastructure solutions
Managing multiple concurrent infrastructure projects
Providing full lifecycle management for server and storage operations and hardware
Providing technical and analytical guidance as it relates to servers, storage, networking, telephony, and other IT systems
Ensuring systems meet or exceed agreed upon SLAs and OLAs
Providing technical troubleshooting and outage support
Providing infrastructure configuration management & change control
Providing remote site configuration & support
Working closely with IT application teams, end users, business leadership, corporate IT and third-party IT service providers
Creating and maintaining IT process documentation
Providing vendor relationship management
Providing backup support for areas of IT Infrastructure & operations
Training and mentoring junior team members
Staying abreast of industry trends and new technologies
