JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to provide Project Controls/BIM Management for a large technology client building data centers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tag project level WBS
Develop API of Revit tools to import/export parameters, instantiate families and expedite repetitive tasks
Assist cost scheduler with evaluating monthly draft payments and schedule updates with BIM
Create and maintain a BIM quantity tracking system with P6 codes to reconcile resource loaded quantities in schedule
Develop BIM quantity tracking system to update progress metrics and model visuals
Deliverables:
Project WBS tagging activity reports
BIM Execution Plan template update related to WBS
Data validation & improvement of quantities exported from BIM
Reports on CAD/BIM process improvements
Implementation & feedback reports on CAD/BIM initiatives
Data input for business intelligence reports / dashboards
Written documentation regarding all meetings and correspondences.
Written monthly status reports outlining work that has been performed by Contractor
Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. Minimum four years of related experience. Prior Supervisory experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the principles and practices in the BIM environment
Knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering design
Ability to read and interpret design standards and specifications, blueprints, drawings, redlines, etc
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.

Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
