The Data and Reporting Professional 2 generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. The Data and Reporting Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Data and Reporting Professional 2 for KY Medicaid works with the Clinical Team and integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements/reports. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests. This role will analyze data results, identify insights, and develop presentations to share results with leaders. This role also assists with project coordination, guiding and recording progress of cross-functional teams in planning, preparing and submitting reports to internal and external stakeholders including KY KDMS, DCBS and CMS. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

* Develops production reports

* Provides consultative expertise to recommend data solutions to help understand business problems and drive solutions
* Effectively communicates report results with business leaders
* Works collaboratively with various multidisciplinary teams
* Creates reports that are accurate
* Uses presentations and verbal skills to clearly communicate complex data analysis
* Prioritizes work in order to meet report timelines
* Performs other duties as assigned
* This role will report to the Louisville, KY office unless you reside outside of the area, then Work At Home will be offered
Required Qualifications
* Associate's Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
* 3-5 years of technical experience in data reporting, analytics and project management.
* 1+ years of experience in Excel, SQL, SAS, QlikView and Tableau
* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
* Experience creating automated reports and self-service tools
* Excellent organizational skills,
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop presentations to effectively share analysis results with leaders
* Very strong skills pulling data from multiple systems and using that data to determine and drive trends and create reporting

Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree
* Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Epidemiology, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
* In-depth experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivots, charts, and graphs
* Experience in Medicaid managed care or health care sector
* Prior experience working in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment
* Project Management experience and/or certification
* In-depth knowledge of systems that house Humana data
