Description:
Quality Engineer Associate (QE) in Orlando, FL supporting program and/or Functional Quality. Program Quality Engineering activities include: Interfacing with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel. Investigate and work non-conformance issues through to root cause / corrective actions. Seek continuous improvement through involvement in product, process, and surveillance audit / assessment activities, complete Hardware Quality Audits (HQAs), work Audit findings to root cause and implement corrective and preventive measures, etc. Job responsibilities include:
Support integrated Product Team and multiple production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging
Attend Corrective Action Boards (CAB), identify trends, assist in problem resolution and insure responsible parties meet commitments
Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing process to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
Perform assessment and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a technical (Engineering) discipline or equivalent discipline (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or aerospace Engineering)
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
US citizenship required
Knowledge of Manufacturing/quality processes and documentation
Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications
Demonstrated understanding of Audit techniques
Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
Demonstrate thorough attention to detail
Be able to work off shifts, overtime and nonstandard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries
Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening and technical writing
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Skills:
Knowledge / Experience on conduct of Root Cause Analyses
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex
Lean Six Sigma trained / certified
Experience with SAP Application and Apriso
AS9100 Interpretation and application experience
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
Certified in Solder and Cable / Harness processes
Quality discipline internship or Production Operations internship
