The Revenue Integrity Analyst position promotes charge capture accuracy and proactive management of the charge description master (CDM), requiring full understanding of the revenue management function. Ensures that the CDM is accurate and in compliance with all state and federal regulations for billing, coding and charging methodology. Coordinates and leads the charge master review processes, maintain the integrity of the charge master by conducting periodic review, work with directors/managers to identify need for charge master revisions. Will maintain current knowledge regarding changing regulations, billing/charging and regulatory agency activities, coordinate the process for annual CPT/HCPCS changes. These changes will be educated to the affected departments. Responsibilities include regularly performing chart to bill to remittance audits through coordination with selected clinical and business departments and making recommendations to promote revenue integrity. This position also applies accurate charges and coordinates with revenue generating departments to improve efficiency of posting charges, evaluating trends, recommend and implement process improvements. Will educate on audit findings and requirement to ensure that billing is compliant. Facilitates recommendations to improve procedures, strengthen controls, enhance revenue and improve reimbursement. Submits appeals in attempt to overturn denials from payers.
Performs other work in the department as needed.
Requires experience with Windows, Excel and Word.
Job Requirements
* One year of CDM experience required
* Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
* 2 Years in Medical/Clinical Office Setting
* Bachelors' Degree Preferred
* 3 Years CDM preferred
* Registered Health Information Technicial certification preferred
* Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred
