Job Description
The Bing Local category search team is looking for passionate software engineers to help us deliver the excellent local search experience in Bing across data/algorithm/infrastructure & application-level work.
The scope of this position will mainly focus on building the search experience with highly scalability and performance and high user engagement.
This position allows you to learn more details of the search internals: algorithms/infrastructures/data. You will have insight of how Search works end-to-end. It also gives you the chance to learn how to build a high efficient system to handle huge amount of traffic on large scale data.
Our team has the culture of result-driven/agile and inclusive. In this team, you will have the chance to work with talent world class engineers in search area to design/implement and ship the feature that can impact millions of end users.
* Design/Implement/Experiment and ship local search products/experience
* Improve search relevance & data quality.
* Drive the cross-team collaboration the whole life cycle of the feature end to end.
* Build universal/cross lingual search algorithm and infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
* 3+ years of Experience in one of the major programming languages: C/C++ or Java.
* 3+ years of Professional experience in algorithm/system design and data analysis, experience with Python.
* 2+ Experience in large scale systems and large data.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in large scale search system & algorithms
* MS or higher degree in computer science.
