Job Description:

JOB DUTIES (INCLUDED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical defects on machines utilizing limited work instructions and/or repair manuals.
* Operate heavy machinery safely, inside and outside the building, including machines on test stands and on a road test track at high speeds.
* Disassemble, rebuild and re install machine components utilizing standard assembly tooling, such as DC electric torque guns, pneumatic tools, manual torque wrenches, hydraulic presses, and overhead cranes.
* Work in assembly stations when required, following standard work, picking parts, making basic hydraulic, electrical and mechanical connections. Check your work for errors and completeness using both visual and written instructions to ensure product is built to meet engineering requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement ideas related to safety, quality and efficiency with peers and support teams.
* Ability to climb up and down work platforms multiple times daily
* Ability to stand, walk, squat and bend for long periods of time
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Basic Qualifications:

* 3-5 years of previous experience with:
* Diesel mechanic / heavy equipment mechanic work experience
* Mechanical work supporting the job duties listed
* Mechanical background in heavy equipment
* Experience troubleshooting heavy equipment issues
* Large manufacturing assembly experience.
* Manufacturing Execution System or similar software detailing work instructions.
* Mark and torque process on fasteners.
* Using overhead cranes to manipulate parts.
* Or demonstrated high mechanical aptitude
* Ability to follow written and visual work instructions, with little to no direction.
* Incumbent will be required to successfully complete a basic mechanical aptitude test in the second week of training to continue employment

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

* 2 yr degree in related field
* Technical certificate in related field
* Experience with CAT Electronic Technician or equivalent PC program used to troubleshoot machine defects via a computer.
* Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical connections
* Advanced knowledge of common assembly tools such as run-down guns, torque wrenches, backup wrenches, zip tie guns, other various hand tools and hydraulic presses
* Strong commitment to Safety and Teamwork
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Willing to work overtime as needed
* Great attitude
