Job Summary The successful candidate will enjoy using technology to automate solutions and optimize outcomes, implementing continuous integration and deployment in a meaningful, highly sophisticated and large scale, distributed system and fast paced environment. As DevOps Engineer, youll work collaboratively with other engineering team members to deploy software and maintain and operate our systems; assist in automating and streamlining our operations and processes; maintain tools for deployment, operations, and monitoring of key systems; troubleshoot and resolve issues in our production environments; and maintain uptime for our sites, apps, and content.

* Good oral/written communication skills
* Experience with modern web scale services including servers, VIPS, load balancers, proxies
* Experience with maintaining and running production environments
* Passion for providing reliable services at scale in cloud environments
* Expert knowledge of AWS (EB, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, CloudFormation, etc).
* Strong operational experience in Linux environment (OS, networking, process level)
* Proficient in at least one scripting language (shell, python, golang)
* Proficient with bootstrap, provisioning, configuration and orchestration
* Deep understanding of CI CD technologies
* Advocate automation
* Familiarity with Splunk for investigating or supervising problems on systems
* Proven experience in trouble shooting, debugging, and performance measurement
* Experience with ensuring security and compliance of production systems
* Certified in the areas ITIL, CompTIA A+, LPIC, security is a plus.
* Knowledge on Java and Node applications is good to have for troubleshooting
* Experience with Microservices architecture and container orchestration is a plus
* Good understanding on TLS encryption and digital signature

Deploy, support and supervise new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks Embrace and apply SRE standard methodologies to services you support Keep users, key stakeholders, and leadership advised through regular reporting and communications Manage and operate on production environments Ensure high availability and uptime Identify areas of automation for manual tasks Develop playbooks related to measurable alerts and continued support and monitoring of production systems Foster positive relationships with multi-functional teams Participating in on-call rotations Work towards implementation of push button deployment at scale with zero downtime

BS degree in computer science or equivalent field with 5+ years or MS degree with 3 years proven ability, or equivalent.
