Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, the mental health worker/certified nurse assistant will assist in the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health
of patients assigned to his/her care. Responsibilities include assisting with ADL's, promoting wellness, health/education and clearly documenting
patient activities. Responsible for adult and geriatric patient's personal hygiene, ADL's, vital signs, application of ice bags, K-Pads, assist patient
with TC and DB and use of incentive spirometer and providing a safe and comfortable environment for their patients. They provide emotional
support to their patients and document their interventions.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Knowledge of Patient Rights.
Knowledge of physiological changes that occur with patients age 55 plus.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Six months recent hospital experience required.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Must have current, valid C ertified Nurses Assistant certification.
