This team member will be responsible for skinning hams and making sure the ham is completely skinned before it is placed on the conveyor to be further processed. The ham skinner is activated by using a foot pedal. The team member will be responsible for maintaining control of the ham as it is turned by the skinner. This job is located on the ham line which will involve working in a cold environment with temperatures ranging from 32 to 40. Must be willing to lift product or equipment up to 40 pounds. Tasks such as reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, and cylindrical grasps are required when reaching for hams from the vat dumper. Back flexion of up to 90 degrees is noted when reaching for hams or for skinning hams. Team members must be willing to stand the entire duration of the shift. Team members must wear personal protective equipment such as an apron, skinner gloves, cotton gloves, hard hat, ear plugs, and frock. Must be willing to learn and qualify on the ham skinner Must be willing to perform all tasks and/or assigned duties. Team members are responsible for following all Tyson Core Safety Mandates and Tyson Policies.
