Job Summary and Scope:
Overall scope of the position is to maintain accurate inventory balances within the internal Warehouse Management system through physical inventory counts to ensure the Veritiv Operations team continues to provide exceptional service to our customer base.
Job Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate system and physical inventory balances within the internal Warehouse Management System.
* Key appropriate inventory adjustments to add, modify, or delete inventory in the Warehouse Management System to ensure ongoing accuracy.
* Perform daily cycle counts as directed by the Warehouse Management System, and as scheduled.
* Conduct manual cycle counts to maintain the ongoing integrity of national accounts inventory.
* Perform new item set up procedures in a timely manner.
* Reconcile physical and system records for product damaged by the internal warehouse operations team.
* Arrange for authorized disposition of damaged and obsolete merchandise.
* Assist with product identification and location inquires.
* Key product movement sheets, inventory adjustments, and bin master maintenance into the internal database.
* Perform location and product verification tasks as required.
* Maintain adequate on-site bills of lading (BOL) for products stored off-site.
* Review open customer order requirements against on-site and off-site inventory balances. Call-out items from off-site storage to satisfy customer orders.
* Identify and obtain proper documents for inbound shipments, damaged merchandise, customer returns.
* Monitor and react to issues with products on hold in the inbound staging area.
* Analyze pick and put away error data to determine root causes.
* Provide buyers with information they need to affect corrections.
* Work as back up labor to other warehouse operation positions.
* Assist management with product slotting and warehouse layout.
* Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience
* Associates degree or at least 2 years completed toward bachelors degree
* Excellent organization, time management and customer relations skills are required.
* Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail required.
* Familiarity with a computerized warehouse system preferred.
* Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
* Regular and punctual attendance.
* Help to promote a safe work environment.

Inside warehouse facility. Some exposure to weather elements due to open shipping/receiving dock area. Temperature maintenance monitored by roof fans to increase air circulation in hot conditions and overhead heating unit for cold conditions. Must be able to work at elevated heights.
