Job Description
Are you passionate about building services at large scale that serve millions of customers? Are you interested in what's behind the real time co-editing? The OXO Collab Services team builds and runs a set of services that power real time user collaboration, including Office Collaboration Services (OCS), Real Time Channel, and Fluid Relay Service. The OCS and RTC services work together with Word/Excel/Powerpoint clients on Web/Windows/Mac/iOS/Android to enable real time co-editing with many users in the same document. The FRS service is a new service we're building for the collaborative Fluid Framework that was recently announced.
We're looking for an engineer to join our FRS development crew. The team aims to build the new service at internet scale, with great reliability, performance and efficiency. It will be a long exciting journey, with many opportunities to learn and grow. The service is being built primarily with node.js, TypeScript, Kubernetes, .net core, and utilizing modern services like Kafka, Redis, MangoDB and etc.
The candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Solid design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for engineering excellence at scale.
- Strong software programming skills in either Javascript/TypeScript, C, Java, or C++.
- 3+ year experience software engineering experience
- 2+ year experience developing and running web services at scale.
