Weve been hard at work developing a new, fully-electric delivery system Amazon Scout designed to get packages to customers using autonomous delivery devices. These devices were created by Amazon, are the size of a small cooler, and roll along sidewalks at a walking pace. We developed Amazon Scout at our research and development lab in Seattle, ensuring the devices can safely and efficiently navigate around pets, pedestrians and anything else in their path.

To learn more about Amazon Scout, check out our Amazon Day One Blog post here: http://amazon.com/scoutAmazon is seeking a talented and motivated RF Systems Manager to manage a team of RF engineers, engage third party suppliers and vendors to drive strategy, implementation, verification and certification for Amazon Scout. The RF Systems Manager will work with the RF Systems Architect on defining the road map and create the plan for execution.The RF Systems Manager will be responsible for:
Owning the delivery of RF systems to market on time, in budget and at the targeted performance
Scoping, managing, and delivering multiple technical projects in parallel from concept to production
Developing and reporting performance metrics for the RF Systems team to peers and executives
Recruiting and developing great people; continually raising the bar
Evaluating and identifying improvements to the overall design processes
Maintaining high level of communications with cross-functional teams, and partners
Interfacing with engineering managers, product management, and/or program management to drive new product development programs from concept to production.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS / MS Electrical Engineering (or similar field)
10+ years of design experience in RF and Wireless Communication Industry
3+ years of management experience
Familiar with industry standard CAD design tools, industry trends, and design for manufacturability.
Excellent written (white papers) and oral communication skills
Experience with the project management of technical projects
Experience working with third party testing houses
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a design team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Commitment to rigorous testing & validation practices
Proven track record of developing products able to meet compliance in multiple countries
Experience managing challenging assignments with aggressive schedules
Experience designing and certification of cellular, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth systems
Experience debugging desense, EMI/EMC issues
