Lab System Administrator, Senior
The Challenge:
Support radio waveform development and integration lab through engineering services, system administration of laboratory environments, and support to critical missions. Perform system administration to develop and maintain a stand-alone research and development laboratory comprised of network infrastructure, physical and virtual servers, and workstations needed to support mission requirements. Administer operating systems, including several flavors of Linux and Windows, on hardware including servers, switches, network attached storage arrays, backup appliances, switches, and custom built workstations and equipment. Research, troubleshoot, recommend, and implement innovative solutions to complex problems. Transfer data between systems, manage varied levels of system accesses, and document processes and procedures. Work independently leading the system administration for lab environment, mentoring junior technical staff, and learning new technologies.
You Have:
* Experience with developing system and network architectures for lab environment
* Experience with supporting and troubleshooting issues in a lab network
* Experience with building isolated engineering networks without external connections
* Experience with Linux and Windows system administration
* Experience with developing system and network documentation
* Secret clearance
* HS diploma or GED
* Ability to obtain IAT Level 2 Certification within 3 months of start date
Nice If You Have:
* Experience with installation and configuration of virtualization platforms
* Experience with installing and configuring virtual servers and thin clients
* Experience with performing data transfers
* TS/SCI security clearance
* BA or BS degree in a technical or engineering field
