Laminates Product Specialist of E&I ICS Films & Laminates Business Unit

Product Specialists work under the direction of a Global Laminates Product Line Manager. Their scope is focusing on execution and analytic support, and they are expected to know and contribute to the broader strategic work. Product Specialists work with cross-functional team to ensure excellent product delivery and achieve product growth targets. They have a wealth of knowledge about a product or range, and analyze product financials, understand market trends, develop product price and profitability strategies, identify opportunities for profitable growth and recommend improvements.

Product Line Specialists are responsible for tasks such as collecting and analyzing data for models and metrics, ensuring adequate follow-up on product performance/quality issues, managing global demand and supply information for assigned product families to support reconciliation and decision making, and coordinating information for the IBP Product Management Review.

This position is based in US. It requires occasional travel between the DuPont centers and customers in the globe, increasingly this role will be part of the global cross functional team supporting global programs. This position will work closely with Product Line manager, Product Marketing as well as PCF leaders to focus on specific product families to drive sustainable and profitable growth.

To be successful as a Product Specialist, candidate must have a passion for the products you work with and keep expanding product knowledge, teamwork spirit, a strong sense of responsibility and agility. Outstanding Product Specialists should have a keen eye for spotting market trends, a willingness to inspire clients, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Key responsibilities include:

Collecting market intelligence from 3rd party market research reports, marketing and customer facing team or desk research to understand competitive landscape, and support product strategy development.
Answering all product-related questions from internal and external customers in a polite manner and addressing queries promptly.
Performing product demonstrations for customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
Scheduling product training sessions and hosting meetings as required.
Collaborating with x-functional teams to support PCF (Product Commercialization Framework) projects, portfolio management decision, demand and supply reconciliation, and execute product decision
Planning, coordinating and assisting with new production assets (example: K4) customer qualifications, new product releases and events.
Assisting with the development of product strategy, PO process and business plans.
Identifying new market opportunities of existing products through teamwork with commercial and marketing teams and relaying this information to the Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
Making helpful product recommendations and suggestions to increase revenue, reducing cost and improving profitability.
Projectizing initiatives as needed to drive execution.

Product Specialist Requirements:

Solid analytical skills and data mining capabilities.
Extensive experience in operation, supply, demand, marketing or customer service would be advantageous.
Ability to pay more attention on details.
Articulate and able to perform demonstrations that engage and inspire.
Deadline-driven, and willing to work after hours.
Superb verbal and written communication skills, as well as great telephone etiquette.
A strong growth mindset.
Ability of coordinating and working with x-functional and x-regional teams.

Job Qualification

Qualifications:

Required education, skills and experiences:
Bachelor's degree or higher
5+ years' experience in multiple functions including Product, Operation, Tech, Supply, Demand, Marketing, etc.
Proven Project management experience. Certifications are a differentiation.
Excellent analytical skills; embracing diversity; collaborative; business results-driven.
Excellent written and oral skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
Broad knowledge of MS Office, and general computing software. Modeling experience is considered a differentiation.
Customer focused, takes initiative, willingness to learn, strong communication
