The Data & Information Governance Experienced Senior Associate (Experienced Senior Associate) is involved in assisting BDOs clients to satisfy their data governance, privacy, data protection, Privacy by Design and Default, and responding to data subjects. The Senior Associate participates on data governance and privacy assessments and identifies and evaluates complex business and technology risks to mitigate risks and provides for continuous improvement. This position also conducts and assesses detailed governance and compliance programs to translate them into business needs and develops assessment reports, including findings and recommendations.

- Develops assessment reports, including findings and recommendations
- Develops business processing registers and information inventories
- Provides data subject access requests support for the team by aggregating data sets, formulating responses to the data subject and tracks response times and response methods
- Works to understand the clients business environment and risk management frameworks and approaches
- Documents interviews and meetings to ensure that action items, next steps and risks are captured
- Conducts records management inventories, and provides tracking and project management for staff
- Searches for and identifies sensitive data sources throughout enterprise environments using federated search technologies
- Utilizes tools, such as WireWheel.io, OneTrust, or TrustArc, to assist clients with maintaining privacy program projects
- Develops data flow diagrams, and maintains updates of diagrams over time
- Assists on cybersecurity assessments, PCI readiness or other similar projects, as needed
- Participates in remediation planning, outlining client GRC requirements
- Conducts research for client projects to ensure the most up to date solutions available on the market is received
- Attends and documents technical client interviews, internal meetings and memorialize report and memorandum contents
- Supports project requests related to enterprise information governance, records and information management and litigation readiness
- Budgets time and assists with multiple project requests simultaneously, as well as monitors project tasks and risks
- Develops e-mail archiving and cloud transformation roadmaps
- Travels, as necessary
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree, required; focus in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Governance, or Technology, preferred
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Governance, preferred
Experience:
- Three (3) or more years of consulting experience, required
- One (1) or more years of experience working on large, complex projects, preferred
- Two (2) or more years of experience with project management and workflow software, preferred
- Process design experience, including Lean Six Sigma, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
- PMP, preferred
- CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, or other privacy certification, preferred
- CISSP, AHIMA, IGP or CRM, preferred
- Lean Six Sigma, preferred
Software:
- Applied knowledge of current privacy technologies for data mapping, cookie compliance, risk assessments, data subject rights, third party risk management, DPIA and/or consent documentation, required.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint and Visio, required
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project or other similar software, required
- Knowledge of and experience with GRC, privacy, information governance, email archiving, or enterprise content management technologies, preferred
Language(s):
- Multilingual capabilities (read, speak and/or write), preferred
