You will perform risk assessments on large-scale projects, processes, and in regulatory proceedings to influence and improve SCEs understanding of risk, reduce our exposure, and realize the upside of risk in strategic areas such as climate change, sustainability, ESG, electrification and eMobility (including EV adoption and charging infrastructure), distributed energy resources (DERs), and other strategic initiatives including Pathway 2045

* Equal influence and partner with OU subject matter experts responsible for strategic intitiatives around climate change, sustainability, electrification and eMobility, distributed energy resources (DERs), and long-term planning to assess risk associated with new and existing programs, projects, and initiatives; provides independent verification of strategy and recommendations; presents risk perspective at senior decision making forums (e.g. Executive Council, FRM, EMC, OpCo, etc.).
* Collaborates across organizations to support and validate methodologies for development of key risk indicators, performance metrics, and mitigation plans.
* Supports and validates planning scenarios, strategies, and reporting activities to support regulatorly objectives and meet internal or external stakeholder requirements.
* Represents the Company at regulatory workshops and proceedings and prepares materials needed to comply with proceeding requirements.
* Establish and promote an internal culture of risk quantification and driving data-driven decision making for risk mitigations.
* Work with other cross functional subject matter experts across the company on a wide range of risk assessment, loss control, SWOT efforts, and operational impact analyses.
* Establish systematic, structured, and quantitative processes to quantify risk and assess mitigation options.
* Implement the organization's strategic guidance on risk management across SCE and EIX.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures and systems required for maintaining and enhancing the overall ERM mission.
Qualifications
The essentials
* B.S. or higher degree in Engineering
* 7 years of combined experience in energy, utility, risk management, quantitative analysis, business analysis, strategic planning, finance, or project/program management experience.
The preferred
* MS in engineering or MBA
* PE License

* The primary work location for this position is Rosemead; however, the successful candidate may also be asked to travel to meetings at other SCE work locations.
* Position will require up to 30% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
