Job Summary:

The Plant Human Resource Specialist provides workforce management, benefits, payroll and related HR process information and guidance to employees and managers. You will report to the Plant Human Resources Manager.

Position Responsibilities

* You will oversee payroll and payroll processing to ensure accuracy, including Kronos attendance tracking
* Conduct full lifecycle recruitment efforts including sourcing and pre-screening for hourly positions
* Provide employees and managers support for HR, payroll, compensation, and benefits transactions, including first contact support on processes for HRIS system (WorkDay)
* HR Leadership: Support Departmental Managers (e.g., Disciplinary, Training, Audits, Safety, Direction Setting (DDS)
* Coach on the use of self-service to maintain accurate employee information in Workday
* Administer employee benefit plans such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Wellness, and other programs as implemented.
* Identify, suggest, document and implement ongoing process improvements.
* Champion Employee Relations
* Help with organization of Human Resource programs (EEO/AAP legal compliance, Ethic Point calls/investigations, unemployment, litigation, retention, termination, and turnover)
* Partner with cross-functional HR peers, HR centers of excellence and other departments including but not limited to, Staffing, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Finance and Legal on different business needs.

Position Qualifications

* High school diploma, plus 3 years+ experience in HR-related field or bachelors degree in applicable field
* Broad HR/Payroll/Benefits knowledge, as pertains to the company, providing customers with relevant information, policy explanation and navigation support
* Experience with HRIS system
* Gather and maintain information with confidentiality
* Work in a change-filled environment with frequent interruptions
