If so, we have an exciting opportunity as a Global Commercial Support Consultant, focused on Cat Command Remote Control, Automation & Autonomy technology, with our Construction Digital & Technology (CD&T) team.
CD&T is a global organization responsible for developing, executing and growing the digital and technology business for markets represented by our Construction Industries segment. CD&T develops technologies and site level solutions that enhance productivity, equipment management, safety and sustainability. Our goal is to solve customer problems by leveraging expertise in both the digital and the construction realms.
As the Global Commercial Support Consultant for Cat Command, you will:
* Drive growth in Remote Control, Automation & Autonomy Technology sales.
* Ensure that necessary steps are taken to provide product, price and promotion that maintains or grows construction technology Cat Command sales enabling machine Percentage of Industry Sales (PINS) and Percentage of Parts Sales (POPS).
* Attend and provide input to the monthly Sales & Operational Planning meetings for Cat Command products.
* Provide expertise and deep domain knowledge for Cat Command Technology products to the Cat and Dealer field force.
* Support and execute the marketing of New Product Introductions (NPI) swim lanes and aid Go-To-Market strategy.
* Support Construction Industries (CI) with global sales of Command Technology products including sales, sales training materials (Cat, Dealer & Customer), sales variance approval, global sales forecasting by product, region, segment and dealer and key customer support.
* Support Construction Industries with lead generation and follow-up
* Define requirements and commercial models to close product, feature, support, and value gaps.
* Provide sales support for key customer and industry engagements (e.g. Trade shows, customer visits, events, etc).
* Engage in industry specific keynote seminars, conferences promoting Cat Command technology.
* Identify and prioritize product enhancement requests prior to releasing to engineering.
* Gather competitive intelligence from the global sales organization, Industry teams, dealers, Competitive Analysis team and other sources and consolidating within covered scope (feedback into the global sales organization).
* Support the development of all technical marketing publications by providing associated content.
* Collect voice of the customer (VOC), voice of the business (VOB), voice of the expert (VOE) then prioritize and share within CD&T and machine product groups for both product strategy and NPI program execution.
Basic Requirements:
* 4 year college degree OR equivalent experience to the role such as field or dealer experience and/or technology applications experience.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
* More than 3 years of field experience or equivalent experience in a field facing role with significant dealer and/or customer engagement (Preferably with a focus on digital & technology, dealer/customer operations).
* Confident executive presence and experience as trusted advisor to both dealer management and Caterpillar leadership.
* A self-starter work ethic with proven history of driving business process improvements and results at dealers and within Caterpillar.
* Strong analytical, communication and change management skills
* Strong understanding of dealer prime product and/or aftermarket sales business practices and Caterpillar field team roles and responsibilities.
* Experience collaborating and influencing change at multiple levels within and across dealer and Caterpillar organizations.
