As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to SAP S/4's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

How You Will Contribute:

* Champion infrastructure software automation projects and partner with Engineering, Product Management, and QA to define and execute
* Automate and orchestrate workloads across multiple public cloud providers
* Support internal and external customers on multiple platforms to troubleshoot customer environments to increase user satisfaction
* Develop tooling and processes to drive and improve customer experience, create playbooks, increase efficiency and reduce incidents
* Work with engineering and IT teams to oversee and manage code releases
* Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software with a focus on modern DevOps processes and technologies
* Stay up to date on best practices and cutting-edge technology developments
* Other responsibilities might include developing automated CI/CD pipelines, support the release of small features very quickly, compare design and technology options with technical leads, and manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
* Monitor application environments and responding to issues as needed

A Successful Candidate Will Have:

* BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
* Automation experience with at least one configuration/deployment management system such as Google Deployment Manager, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, AWS Cloud Formation, Salt, or other such tools
* Experience working with at least one of the following languages: Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, and Java.
* Experience working with Git and GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef
* Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced, DevOps environment
* Proficient with git and git workflows and in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment is a plus
* Knowledge of modern back-end technology stacks, tools and standards, including relational and non-relational databases, webservers, server-side frameworks such as Postgres, MongoDB, Nginx, Node.js, restful APIs and OAuth is a plus

Taking a start-up approach, SAP S/4HANA Consumer Industries Cloud will be an incubator for new cloud applications, bringing together product strategy and management will all the necessary cloud business functions such as architecture, engineering and operations. Development in this unit will focus on cloud-native applications and has a strategic growth plan from now to 2025.
