Job Description The Transportation Coordinator position will perform the following duties:
* Processing weekly payrolls using payroll systems efficiently and accurately
* Maintaining/updating employee deductions, direct deposits, and other payroll records
* Track, calculate, and process payroll for time off
* Research and validate payroll submissions
* Maintain, audit, and enter driver time off requests.
* Perform Daily and Weekly Payroll Audits to ensure the accuracy of payroll
* Record accurately tractor mileages essential for fuel tax monthly and quarterly reporting.
* Process and distribute departmental reporting, create additional reporting if required
* Manage and ensure accuracy of payroll systems data including inputting new hires, employee statuses, and forms
* Process any potential bonus reports and records
* Ensure compliance to all security and company procedures.
* Project management on special requests, assist management in streamlining processes using technology; i.e. databases
* Maintain and update as need Driver Handbook and perform driver orientation for payroll
* Provide support and back up for the coordinator clerks to include vacation coverage.
* Processing data online for dispersing pay cards, fuel cards, and hotel cards
* Process expense reports for compliance with policies and payments
* Maintain, order, and distribute transportation uniforms and supplies
* Any other duties as assigned
Schedule:
Sunday: 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Monday - Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday - Saturday: Off
Hours will only fluctuate when covering vacation schedules and/or holiday weeks. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent
Strong verbal and written skills, with experience in professional correspondence highly desired.
Experience in managing internal and external customer requests in timely, accurate and professional manner.
Experienced in computer applications and able to learn to use: MS office Suite working knowledge required
Problem solving and solutions management experience
Detail oriented, with superior organizational skills
Ability to complete multiple or repetitive tasks in an effective and efficient manner.
Versatile in working environment, has the ability to work independently, but is also effective in team efforts
Previous office experience required. Preferred Qualifications 1+ years in Transportation office experience is preferred.
Previous Driver Payroll entry experience is preferred.
