We are looking for a Freelance Audio/Video Technical Producer to join our Washington D.C. Bureau. As a Freelance Audio/Video Technical Producer, you will lead the on-air technical operations for FOX News Audio products.
You will be offered the following shift:
Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM ET - 7:00 PM ET
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Work alongside content production and programming teams to develop, launch, and initiate new technical workflow, programming, and operations for digital audio platforms.
Advocate for the best consumer experiences
Gather, prioritize, and document technical content requirements from cross-functional teams to achieve the best consumer-facing product.
Communicate with engineering and operations personnel to resolve equipment issues
Audio/Video Mixer for Fox News Audio programs
Learn new broadcast technologies and increase knowledge of existing systems
Operate technical equipment, including ENCO automation systems, digital workstations, intercom systems, video streaming and editing software, recording devices, audio consoles, and Adobe Audition.
Responsible for documentation, as well as providing cross-training of peers on all broadcast equipment.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Creative and “out of the box” thinking
Avid news, sports, & pop culture consumers with a keen sense of how the three intersect
Ability to interact with high-profile guests and talent
Ability to make the right decisions during breaking news situations as well as during routine shifts
Well-versed in the latest audio and video technologies
3 - 5 years overall talk radio experience and excellent skills operating a board during live news broadcasts as well as talk shows
Knowledge of video editing and streaming programs such as Descript, Dalet, Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and Riverside. Knowledge of Black magic video switchers is a plus!
Knowledge of iNews, ENCO automation, and Adobe Audition would be helpful to the daily role.
Strong communication skills, excellent teamwork and team-building skills
Working knowledge of Windows, Mac, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Premier
Knowledge of operations across all FOX Audio departments
The ability to work with Engineering & IT departments to ensure technical operations are at optimal performance
