POSITION OVERVIEW
The individual in this position will manage within a dynamic manufacturing and warehousing environment while contributing to the division’s overall growth and productivity goals. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Warehouse & Logistics Manager will oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation and administrative functions at the Mayflower Plant in Salisbury, MA. The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will oversee, train, evaluate and recognize staff, as well as ensure the maintenance of company fleets vehicles and assets.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations
Implementing operational policies and procedures
Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
Monitor workplace and lead training initiatives to improve employees’ performance
Manage off-site warehousing and distribution services
Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
Ensure proper use of SAP on all material movement transactions
Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with divisional leadership
Ensure safety of staff during warehouse processes
Managing staff performance and providing recognition
Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities
Maintaining awareness and knowledge of condition and location of fleet vehicles
Assisting with deliveries where required
Ensuring proper weekly inventory cycle counting of raw materials and Finished goods
Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the latest federal and state safety regulations
Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
Lead overall FGs and Raw material inventory initiatives twice per year
Build a continuous improvement environment that drives value to our stakeholders
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years warehouse management experience
3 years of experience with ERP systems. SAP is a plus
Excellent understanding of warehouse management processes and procedures
Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
Valid drivers' license required for occasional work related travel
Ability to operate forklift effectively
Proficient computer skills
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills
Strong influence and people management skills
Available to work extended hours

Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT/SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION
This job operates in a manufacturing facility. This position is a safety-sensitive position and occasionally works around moving mechanical parts and powered industrial vehicles. Noise level can be medium to loud. Temperatures can vary depending upon the time of year and outside impacts.
SHIFT/WORK HOURS
Shift schedule will depend on open positions at time of hire and will be communicated with new hire paperwork. Weekends and holidays are scheduled depending on business demands.
