Amentum is seeking a skilled Mechanical Trades Person to join our team for an OCONUS construction project. This project will last approximately 8-months. This will be an opportunity to work on a high-impact project in a dynamic environment. The position will require the following attributes and responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace
Comply with all Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals
Be responsible for the planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions, using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments
Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
Select materials necessary for the work
Install and test FCU / Piping / Insulation / Cladding
Install and Test Chiller Unit to include piping / insulation / cladding
Install fire suppression piping and components
Install toilet plumbing and fixtures
Assist with the overall project goals, to include material handling, housekeeping and various activities that may arise during the course of the work
Performs other duties and activities as directed.
Required Qualifications:
Must have a Secret US Government Security Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Security Clearance
High school diploma or GED equivalent
