Reporting to the Head of Family Advisory & Philanthropy Services in the U.S., you will be the primary interface for UHNW client engagements on these topics in a defined geographic territory.
The purpose of this role is to engage advisors and clients on matters related to wealth planning insights, advice and execution to navigate family dynamics, communication, governance, and maximizing philanthropic impact locally, nationally, and globally.
As a Senior Strategist you will:
• deliver subject matter expertise to enhance client outcomes related to flourishing amid wealth and philanthropy and drive financial results in partnership with financial advisors
• design and lead whole family client engagement on topics related to family advising, governance and decision making, learning and development for rising generations, leadership and transition planning, and family dynamics.
• work with families to design and implement strategic giving plan, position key in-house philanthropy solutions, in particular UBS Optimus Foundation, Collectives, social finance and the impact continuum.
• be a keynote speaker on relevant topics for UHNW client events and contribute to thought leadership, content development for client events (topics, trends, presenters, etc)
• initiate, manage and lead client workshops within geographic coverage
• maintain tracking and reporting of all advisor and client engagements to drive financials and collaboration across UHNW Solutions Group and beyond
• serve as collaborator and partner to other Senior Strategists
• ability to travel (40%-60%)

• Los Angeles: the salary range for this role is $207500 to $282500

The UBS Family Advisory and Philanthropy Services Americas team works in partnership with other subject matter experts within UHNW Solutions Group professionals and UBS Financial Advisors to deliver insights, advice and execution on wealth transition, intentional communication and philanthropic impact. We bring vast experience and expertise in supporting wealth creators, inheritors, and multigenerational families to build enduring legacies and maximize their impact locally, nationally, and globally.
Your expertise
• ideally 10-15+ years of related professional experience
BS, BA or higher (MBA or JD preferred but not required)
Series 7 and 66 certifications (or the ability to obtain within three months)
• experience in the financial services industry or global organizations a plus
• experience with ultra-high net worth individuals and/or families a plus
• excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to work directly with Financial Advisors, clients, prospects and their other trusted advisors
• the ability to multi-task, problem solve, maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively, and have an acute attention to detail
• advanced training or certificates in family dynamics and philanthropic advising
• ability to develop and deliver family dynamics communication exercises and tools, facilitate family meetings, and strong presentation skills
• skills to engage wealth holders and inheritors in developing and refining their philanthropic aspirations and legacy plans.
