Physical Requirements: Continuously lifting and moving very light weight material (1-5 lbs.) Frequently lifting and moving average weight material (5-50 lbs) Occasional lifting and moving heavy weight material up to (50 lbs. +) with assistance Primary Duties: Operate and assist in operating multi-spindle automatic screw machines. Install chucks and collets, set and secure tooling holders. Check parts produced for dimensional and finish conformance to specifications. Remove and reset tooling or otherwise adjust machine as required. Maintain statistical process control charting. Also operate PC stations for charting SPC readings. Learn to use all standard, variable and attribute gauging to check work. Remove machined parts, bar ends and turnings from machines. Remove oil and separate chips from parts. Restock machine with raw materials. Responsible for keeping all tooling used in their area inventoried and organized in the mini-cribs. Learn to install and adjust tooling outlined in the 60-90-120-day skill sheet. Minimum Qualifications: Understand part numbers and be able to read them. Be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Detail oriented. Good judgment to comply with instructions and standard procedures, methods or practices. Need to understand and be able to work with and around chemicals Needs to have basic shop. If have not attended basic shop, will be required to attend next class.
