What You Can Expect

As the Workplace Technology Manager, you will oversee the technology systems that support our workplace. This role involves managing hardware and software solutions, ensuring seamless integration of technology into daily operations, and leading initiatives to improve employee productivity and satisfaction through technology. Your day will start with overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of workplace technology systems, including printing and video conferencing systems. You will provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot issues, and conduct training sessions to ensure effective use of technology tools. Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends, you will recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance workplace efficiency. You will lead technology projects from conception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Additionally, you will lead and participate in IT projects, including Merger & Acquisitions (M & A) activities, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption. Training, mentoring, and managing a team of technicians to ensure high performance and professional development will be a key part of your role. You will cultivate and maintain a customer-centric service culture within the IT department, ensuring exceptional support and satisfaction for all users.

This position will sit in Oakland, CA and report to the Director of IT.

What You’ll Bring

A minimum of a four (4) year degree with a focus in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
A minimum of seven (7) years proven experience in managing workplace technology systems and infrastructure
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Expertise in Microsoft Teams for desktop and room video conferencing and collaboration
Experience building reports with helpdesk systems to manage departmental workflows
Experience with software deployment and system management
Experience with end-user information security tools
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with vendor management and procurement processes
Experience with IT asset management
