What You Can Expect

As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be the first line of technical support for end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues for 300 local and remote users. Your day will start with responding to support requests, troubleshooting and resolving issues with Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and other software. You will assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems will be part of your routine to ensure optimal performance and security. You will also deploy new hardware and software, including imaging and configuring new devices. Collaboration with the Workplace Technology Manager and other IT team members will be essential to identify and implement improvements to the IT infrastructure. Your role will involve participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of IT policies and procedures.

This position will sit in Pasadena, CA and report to the Workplace Technology Manager.

What You’ll Bring

A minimum of a two (2) year degree with a focus in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent practical work experience accepted in lieu of degree
A minimum of two (2) years experience in a desktop support or similar role
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common desktop applications
Experience with software deployment and system management
Expertise in Microsoft Teams for desktop and room video conferencing and collaboration
Experience supporting remote users

It requires attendance at a worksite on a daily and/or rotation basis
Must be available to travel locally up to 30% of the time
Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
