About the Role
As the Sr. Market Insights Analyst, you will play a crucial role in conducting research and analysis to identify and translate technology sales opportunities within the public sector for leading software and hardware manufacturers and solution providers. This position supports sales, vendor management, marketing, and business stakeholders by developing and delivering actionable intelligence that enables strategic business decisions. You will also support the planning of targeted demand generation campaigns and business development strategies, leveraging research tools and market insights.
This role involves interpreting data, analyzing results using various techniques, and providing insights to improve sales strategies, marketing approaches, and business operations. You will also be responsible for delivering major presentations, training sessions, and reports, while collaborating with business intelligence, analytics, and IT teams to ensure comprehensive solutions are implemented.
What You'll Do
Research & Business Intelligence: Provide actionable intelligence on public sector agency organizations, initiatives, and relevant programs to support public sector sales and marketing activities.
Coordinate Reporting and Analytics Framework: Work with business intelligence colleagues to identify market trends, risks, and opportunities in the public sector IT space using transactional data.
Develop and Deliver Presentations & Training: Create and deliver presentations and training sessions for internal and external audiences, covering market research techniques, public sector IT trends, and business development strategies.
Develop Analytical Models: Utilize research tools to track active solicitations, analyze potential sales opportunities, and provide proactive intelligence for senior leadership.
Evangelize Data Knowledge and Insights: Manage communications with stakeholders, collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, and provide self-service research tools that enable effective decision-making.
Project Leadership: Act as a lead analyst on market intelligence projects, collaborating across sales, marketing, and business intelligence teams to deliver impactful insights.
Business Partnering: Work with the Business Intelligence and Analytics team within IT to develop data-driven solutions that enhance business decision-making.
Industry Engagement: Participate in public sector IT industry events and organizations to gain insight into market developments and build relationships that can be leveraged for business value.
What We're Looking For
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into business intelligence.
Experience in market research, business analysis, or sales intelligence, particularly within the public sector IT industry.
Ability to deliver engaging presentations and communicate insights effectively to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in business intelligence tools and data visualization.
Knowledge of government procurement processes, agency IT initiatives, and public sector technology trends is a plus.
