About the role - you will:

Administer site Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and procedures to ensure compliance with both regulations and Corporate/Site Standard Operating Procedures for our Shakopee & Bloomington facilities.
Conduct internal audits of compliance to regulatory requirements and company policies
Interact and collaborate with various site departments to continuously integrate EHS within the organization
Work to develop a proficiency in various Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs
Assist the site Emergency Response Program, including recruitment, training, planning, drills and response
Assist the site Ergonomics Program, both office and lab
Manage the development, implementation, and rollout of site Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) training
Conduct incident investigation to determine root cause while recommending corrective and preventative actions
Review new processes and process modifications for EHS impacts.
Prepare for and participate in Regulatory Audits
Provide consistent communication of Health and Safety expectations to continually increase personnel knowledge and performance
Manage the hazardous and solid waste generation programs and track chemical usage for waste minimization and regulatory requirements
Assist with Wastewater Permit requirements
Manage the Site Inspections and Risk Assessment programs.
Chair the site Safety Committee, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials and coordinating team activities
Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to ensure they meet internal safety requirements
Work to ensure contractor safety requirements are met
Contribute to achieve EHS targets in support of business objectives

Your experience includes:

Experience with and working knowledge of environmental and safety laws and regulations 
Excellent organization, communication, and computer skills (Microsoft Office applications) with a strong attention to detail in all aspects
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or equivalent experience
