As a Distribution Coordinator, you work. You will oversee the finished goods inventory. Maintain the accuracy and make needed corrections to inventory. The Distribution Coordinator will assist with building and preparing export orders to ship to PPG customers. Manage the warehouse, production plant, and close sites. Assist with all other activities that are duties of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
• Support inventory cycle counts and make all necessary corrections to the inventory.
• Analyze finished goods inventory.
• Verify and inspect and receive incoming material into inventory.
• Shipping Clerk’s backup
• Prepare and create BOL and packing slips for domestic LTL, FTL, and parcel shipments following DOT and IATA regulations.
• Manage and assist the PPG export team, freight forwarder, and transporter to coordinate US exports.
• Prepare all necessary documentation for export shipments.
• Are the final inspector of shipments watching for proper labeling for all outgoing shipments including hazardous, export, and handling labels.
• Secure proper safety docking procedures for inbound/outbound trucks.
• Assist the production team with order complexities and correcting pick tickets.
• Manage the material movement system.
• Handle all process works off, relabel, and disposal requests.
• Order all production shipping and office supplies for the shipping department.
• Use EPro System alternative methods.
• Conduct manual searches for missing inventory.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience
• High School Diploma
• 3 years of related inventory control/transportation experience within a manufacturing/retail warehousing facility.
• APICS/CPIM certification
• Experience with the following systems - Oracle and Excel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams. SAP experience.
