Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk I or II

Job Description

If you are looking for a new role in Accounts Receivable with a quickly growing dynamic company, we have a role for you! The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for all aspects of the accounts receivable functions and providing backup assistance to the rest of the AR team and other accounting functions.

Examples of Key Activities:

Daily Invoicing, including providing customers with invoices via email / mail / website portals
Prepare credit / debit memos as needed, following the required approval process
Collections, including documenting collection call / verification details, and working with the supervisor and sales department on accounts that need escalation
Master retail customer portals (vendor access websites) to efficiently process invoices, reconcile accounts, etc.
Collect and organize shortage data and conformance fines from retail customers, pull together and send dispute packets as required
Effectively create and use Excel spreadsheets to collect and report on data, such as disputes, collections, verifications
Apply cash receipts to customer accounts in Sage 100 accounting software
Cross train with other AR team members, striving for seamless vacation coverage and backup help as needed
Provide support to sales, shipping and customer service requirements as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education:

Two years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, general bookkeeping and office administration is desired but a combination of education and experience to commensurate with this background will be considered.
High school degree is required but additional college or applicable certificate or training is an added benefit.
