Requisition Summary

The Commodity Manager of Vehicle Software Applications role includes the procurement of vehicle-related software, hardware, and professional services and is responsible for partnering with and supporting internal business units, functional groups, and associated stakeholders while executing strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management initiatives. Responsibilities include technology product and service procurement as well as the development and negotiation of licensing and maintenance agreements, consultation agreements, master service agreements, (MSAs) and statements of work, (SOWs). This position will be responsible for managing PACCAR’s commercial relationship with technology providers and driving commercial strategies to control costs and mitigate risk. The ideal candidate will be a proven change agent in the field of IT, Purchasing, and supplier relationship management, focused on delivering the highest value of products and services to internal and external customers at the lowest total cost.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 5 years of Purchasing.  Experience in managing significant technology and professional service contracts and negotiations is preferred.
Flexible and proactive team leader with the ability to manage multiple and diverse tasks concurrently
Project management experience is preferred
Strong technical acumen, general IT product and industry knowledge, technical consulting services and contractual requirements preferred
Strong team player with excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation
Proven organization, negotiation, planning, and analytical skills
Demonstrated leadership to accomplish company goals
Business, industry, and commodity acumen
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite skills, including data mining, summarization, and presentation
BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field, MBA preferred

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field required. 
MBA preferred.
